Fried Pickles {Cooking with Christy B}

I have a confession to make.  I love Hooter’s Buffalo Shrimp.  Yes, I admit, I enjoy dining at Hooter’s.  In the past, I shared a recipe for copycat Buffalo Shrimp I make from time to time.  While grocery shopping recently, I came across Hooter’s Wing Sauce in a jar!  Talk about making my job even easier.  Unfortunately, I didn’t see the Hooter’s Wing Breading with the sauce so I used my own breading from the copycat recipe.  After all of the shrimp were breaded, I had plenty of leftover breading mixture.  My husband suggested making fried pickles.  With no real recipe, I gave it a shot.  I added a few sprinkles of cayenne pepper to the breading mixture and continued the same as I did the shrimp.  They turned out great!  I was even told they were better than the fried pickles at Hooter’s.  My daughter asks almost nightly if we can make them again.  They would be perfect for a fun appetizer on the 4th of July.
